Set in the 1980s, Brooklyn, New York, Can't Ant follows the misadventures of an eleven-year-old boy by the name of Anthony (known as Little Ant). In this storybook, "Can't Ant: Ant Can Play Basketball", the reader follows along as Little Ant and his brother make their way to the neighborhood park to play a basketball game with the other neighborhood kids. With the ball in his hand and his positive spirit, Little Ant is ready to play-until he's greeted by a not-so-friendly player. Little Ant faces belittling and exclusion while trying to play a basketball game.
