Turn Around Don't Drown follows a small group of self-absorbed artists and filmmakers on a country weekend in New York's reservoir area, in late August 2012, as a catastrophic flood bears down. It is the second novella in the road sign trilogy, three dark satires loosely linked by theme and by the reappearance of some characters. Thematically, the novels each explore the psychic effects of di¿erent elements of our dystopia (misinformation and conspiracy cults, climate change, the proliferation of mass imagery of violence, and generative AI).
