Jordan Clinton wrote "Cthulhu's Curse #1" when she was just thirteen years old. This book includes illustrations. This story is not about incest. Idyhsa is a sixteen year old, elf-eared siren. She swims into a cave, seeking asylum. Unexpectedly, a tentacle curls around her wrist! A cecealia, seeking sexual avenues with her! The dim light of the cave obscures his face, hiding his image until she is able to see that this cecealia is none other than her deadbeat adoptive father! Idyhsa is infuriated and disgusted, feeling angry about the fact that he left her for eleven years! Eventually, the two "reconcile," deciding to travel to Sinners' Reef to mend their relationship. Strangely, upon her first night at Sinners' Reef, the girl has a hyper realistic dream of a fleeting image of Cthulhu---a god---and a pregnant siren, which oddly had elf ears like her. She eventually arrives at a chamber within her dream, stopping in front of a blue orb that warns her she swam "Too close" and that when the time is right, she must visit the blue orb immediately! The dream is unfortunately cut short by an outer disturbance before the blue orb could share any more. Idyhsa thinks little of this. There are many issues more urgent than a nonsensical dream, issues like the random stranger currently rudely jeering her awake and her relationship with her deadbeat father. Idyhsa's peculiar ears are associated with the calamity that occurred at Sinners' Reef twelve years ago. Entering Sinners' Reef is the catalyst of Idyhsa's pending conflicts.
