Grady Burton, a thirteen-year-old pop-culture-obsessed emo kid, gets sent to live with his grandparents for the summer after a harmless revenge prank goes stupidly sideways. But the kids that pick on him and his equally uncool friends are nothing compared to the homeowners' association in control of Mee-Moo and Pop-Pop's quiet retirement community, and no amount of horror movies or comic books could prepare him for what they have planned. Inspired by the characters he loves most, driven by the music he can't put down, only Grady stands in the way of an elderly, eight-legged conspiracy in this coming of age horror-comedy that's equal parts "Lost Boys", "Slither" and "Evil Dead".
