About the book This book is a collection of research papers regarding the Shakyamuni Buddha’s teachings, that were developed after a period of deep meditations that lasted over a duration of 12 years or more. Not that the meditation practices have stopped, but there came a point in time, where i thought it was necessary to document the insights gained during these meditations. Marred with mental afflictions, multiple failures and trials and tribulations of life, as i carried through in search of a way to find the deeper aspects of the truths of life, that would help me come of the miseries of my own life, i tried and practiced multiple methods for a particular duration of time. At some point in life, the teachings of the Shakyamuni Buddha in the form of anapana and vipassana meditations clicked in the mind body complex. Though the affects were not immediate, after a long continued practice, i was able to find some serenity in life, even in adverse conditions. This book is a collection of research papers, that contain insights garnered from what was reflected in deep meditations. However, they in no way reflect the complete absolute truth and only give glimpses of the same. While reading this book, take special note of the fact that one does not have to crave for such experiences and insights. As one will meditate, in one’s personal journey of life, one may some day come to similar insights ... Finally, words can merely capture what is been reflected from the realms of the absolute truth. Futile as it might be, i have tried to convey something in a few words. If they have any value and of use to the reader, then i will be glad that some purpose has been achieved. However, do not go just by what is written here. The way would be to meditate, read and contemplate and repeat the process again and again. After long sustained meditations, when the heart is pure to a certain degree and the mind is still, then while reading the material in this book, one may come to know the bits of truths that has been mentioned here. By your own experiential knowledge in meditations, you will realise if what is written here is true and acceptable to you to a certain extent or not! In the Khuddakanikāya, Dhammapada, Maggavagga (The Path) Pañcasatabhikkhuvatthu, The Buddha says - Pali : tumhehi kiccam ātappaṃ akkhātāro tathāgatā. English Translation : You must make an effort. The Buddhas are only teachers.
