A satire so subtle it's believable! Serious issues are handled with humor when three naïve -- and unforgettable -- old ladies set out to earn their way into prison. The Bag Lady War is a chaser for Arsenic and Old Lace--with a twist. Sweet old ladies, widowed by street crime, feel it is unfair that free room and board are reserved for prisoners while good folks struggle to get by. They decide to earn their way into the well-provisioned safety of prison. But not wanting to be burdens to the government, and thinking to offset the cost of their incarceration, they set out to rid the streets of bad guys. Leaving a trail of grocery bag-covered bodies behind them, they also blow up a crack house and set off a gang war before they are through. Other oldsters join in the fray, and life on the street--and in prison--will never be the same! Balancing pathos with humor, a cast of delightful characters takes us on a freewheeling romp through our heroines' bumbling "war on crime."
