Children are the adults of our future. What they experience, see and feel affects what they learn and how they grow. Words affect each of us in some way. They can build or destroy self-esteem, thoughts, needs, ideas, beliefs, and so much more. Too often words are spoken in haste or tossed carelessly out with little or no thought to how they will touch another. As you read, you may find words you have said or heard. Before you toss words out, think about how they sound. When you speak, listen to the words and know that once spoken, they are going to touch another. Take time to listen with more than your ears. Try your heart and your brain. Are you a builder or destroyer?
