Booth Davis, a good-looking, self-admitted underachiever, and recent private detective school graduate receives a phone call from his friend and lawyer wanting his help with a case. Booth soon realizes the case involves a murder at a strip club and instantly knows he is in over his head. In a continuous battle with his obsession for the female race and his desire to reconnect with his former girlfriend and their child, Booth reluctantly accepts the case deciding to confront his demons head on. Booth's quest includes humorous conversations with Sarge, his inner demon and alter ego, a female police detective who transforms into a dominatrix in private, and a cast of unlikely heroes, who help guide Booth through his journey. Although a comedic crime novel, Dads, Demons and Heroes deals with serious issues such as father/son relationships, marriage, and the difficult, changing world today's men have to live in.
