The Arnorians are left battered after claiming victory over the Kazvadiens. Though they were unable to slay its king, Arethious barely escaped death by the will of Nekrum. From the roost of his castle, he is a prisoner forced to watch his home be torn asunder. In order to destroy Nekrum and the evil he has brought upon Falashua, Calvoris reveals to the Arnorian Council a secret that would give the people hope for a future free of tyranny. With this new hope, they embark on a journey that will take them across the sea and eventually to the heart of Kazvadiea. Unfortunately for Cyrus, as he becomes able to control his power, he learns something terrible about his origin.
