Searching for the Perfect Horse is the journey of author Carolyn Kazmierczak into a world of 20 different horse breeds. She begins with the purchase of her first horse-a former Thoroughbred race horse-and what she learned from her relationship with him. Discovering her inadequacies to train and ride him, she began researching horses in general, and discovered the wide range of breeds available to us today. After researching horses, from their origin in America in the year 1500, to present day, she learned of their hardships and accomplishments and had a desire to know more. She has combined her research with informative charts, diagrams, and the unique characteristics of each breed, to inform horse lovers all over the world of the nobility of the horse.
