This is the story of an English rose, Anne Evans ¿ a warm-hearted nurse, creative gardener, contented traveller, and a devoted wife and mother. She recalls her many walks in the picturesque fields and rolling hills of Herefordshire. Her mischievous school days, escaping into books and attending church.She reflects on romance and her move to Australia, and most important of all, a loving family through the generations.`A young man came into the Emergency Department . . . I happened to be working night duty, and we talked late into the night . . . So our first meetings were whispers . . . I fell in love with him and that was it.¿`We had two beautiful twins . . .
