The astrology of the dwarf planet Ixion, discovered in 2002. Many astrologers believe that new outer planets are discovered when we are ready to incorporate the new consciousness represented by that planet into our existing consciousness. So the discovery of Ixion represents a new aspect of consciousness that is becoming available to us. Put simply, Ixion is our new seeker consciousness, giving us an independent streak and enabling us to be authentic in our interaction with the world and to follow our bliss. In bravely being ourselves we may tread on some toes and to maintain our independence we need to practice asking for forgiveness afterwards rather than permission before. As we develop spiritually, Ixion encourages us to be a unique expression of ourselves, while being sensitive to both the spoken and the unspoken agreements in our relationships, so we know how far we can go.
