Excerpt from Davison's Poetical Rhapsody, Vol. 1 Ith this edition of Davison's Poetical Rhapsody I close my series of lyrical anthologies. I began with Lyrics from Elizabethan Songbooks, which was followed by England's Helicon. Then came More Lyrics from the Songbooks, Lyrics from Elizabethan Dramatists, and Lyrics from Elizabethan Romances. I have carried out the scheme that I proposed to myself, and now I make an end. I beg to thank Mr. Wakefield christie-miller and Mr. A. H. Huth for their kindness in granting me the use of rare editions of the Rhapsody. To Mr. J. M. Thomson of Edinburgh I am much indebted for valuable notes. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
