What happens when someone with an engineering background starts writing poetry? This book began with that very thought. The author, trained in mechanical engineering, had rarely read literary classics and had no previous writing experience. One day, he read a few short essays and poems written by a colleague. They were striking—and suddenly a simple idea appeared: if I tried, perhaps I could write something too. That small spark soon grew into an unstoppable impulse to write, and eventually became this collection of poems. Perhaps, after reading it, you may feel inspired as well—to fall in love with reading, or even begin writing yourself. After all, poetry may be quietly hidden in everyone’s life. The book is organized into eleven themes: flowers and trees, travel, sports, films, riverside scenery, friendship, beauty, heartbreak, love, family, and distant New Zealand. Each section presents eleven selected poems, accompanied by imaginative prefaces that bring surprise and curiosity to the reading experience. Most of the poems are prose poems, inspired by real moments in everyday life. When something touches the heart, inspiration appears—and a poem is born. These poems are sincere, natural, and easy to read. By the final page, you may discover: Modern poetry is actually closer to our lives than we think.
