Leon Fairfield is the top analyst for a highly secret New Zealand intelligence agency, but he has a trifling problem, a minor mental issue that causes him to see people that aren't actually there. He calls them his ghosts, and has honed an effective system to manage them. But things get complicated when he falls in love with the perfect ghost, and only goes downhill as he's drawn into a case of national security, where the people he trusts most may not be quite who they seem.
