It is also known as bird's nest, wild carrot, bishop's lace, and devil's plague. Other common names for it include wild carrot. The little umbels of pure white flowers that characterize the Queen Anne's lace plant are the plant's primary claim to fame. Umbels are a type of inflorescence. Each umbel of Queen Anne's lace can contain anything from five hundred to one thousand individual flowers. This plant has hairy stems, which serve as an attraction for pollinators like ladybugs and butterflies.
