Detective Keep, suspended for police brutality, investigates Gofio, a coyote trafficking immigrants. His girlfriend, Chan, is in danger, and the story delves into their childhoods and divergent paths. Set in iconic Tampa locations such as Bayshore Boulevard, Tampa Theatre, and the Riverwalk, the plot culminates in Gofio's capture and the reunion of Keep and Chan with their friends. Keep is promoted to Captain and marries Chan in a sunset ceremony by Tampa Bay.
