On the edge of the solar system a legendary ship and crew, sent as far away from the United Coalition of Planets as possible to patrol hyperspace lanes, finds themselves being the only ship close enough to help a stellar cruse liner that has crashed on Venus. To succeed the crew of the Vindicator will have to make peaceful contact with the people of Earth and navigate the task of performing a rescue operation while also performing first contact with am entire planet.
