MAIN CHARACTER LUKE (Protagonist, 29): Once a small-town golden boy with big dreams, Luke now drifts through life haunted by past violence and an unshakeable guilt rooted in his strict religious upbringing. Struggling with poverty and constantly tempted to compromise his morals for survival, his gaunt frame and storm-gray eyes reflect a life lived in the shadows. Despite his battered soul and rough hands, he retains a battered sense of decency, often trying to shield those weaker than himself-even as he works dirty jobs to pay mounting debts. Deep down, Luke is fiercely loyal and capable of tenderness, but self-loathing and fear of his own capacity for harm hold him back from seeking love or redemption. His journey is a battle between old sins and a desperate hope that Jenny-a woman as outcast as he-is a second chance he may not deserve. SIDE CHARACTERS JENNY (Heroine, 22): Jenny is a trembling, overlooked figure in town-plain, awkward, and painfully self-aware of her "ugliness"-but beneath cheap clothes and mousy hair, she hides a well of bravery, grit, and deep yearning. Raised in poverty and emotional neglect, Jenny is a virgin whose only dream is to be truly loved and chosen by someone. Her voice is soft, her eyes soulful brown, always flickering between hope and resignation. Jenny wears her heart on her sleeve, but as her world spins out of control, she reveals unexpected strength, willing to risk everything for a taste of love and a shot at freedom. In Luke's arms, Jenny gradually sheds old shame, discovering she is beautiful and worthy, capable of saving herself and others. SILAS (Antagonist, 60s): Once a legend in the prizefighting underground, Silas is now a menacing, iron-fisted crime boss with a gravelly voice, ice-blue eyes, and fists as quick as his temper. He built an empire on violence, manipulation, and vice-most heinously the exploitation of women, with his own soldier sons running a prostitution ring. Deeply misogynistic and charismatic in a reptilian way, Silas delights in pitting people against each other, using affection and loyalty as weapons. To him, everyone-including his own children-is a pawn or tool. He sees Luke's conscience as weakness to be exploited, and Jenny's innocence as a currency to control. SILAS'S SONS (Enforcers, 30s): Silas's "soldier sons"-brutal, ex-military men-enforce the family racket. Each is a blend of menace and damaged loyalty, shaped by their father's ruthless example. Broad-shouldered and stoic, they speak rarely but act quickly, using surveillance, intimidation, and violence as casual tactics. They harbor a twisted sibling rivalry and deep resentment, aware they're nothing but muscle to Silas. The oldest despises Luke, viewing him as weak and an outsider; the youngest is quietly compassionate, his only rebellion being small acts of mercy. JENNY'S FRIEND (NIA, 24): A fellow outcast and one of Silas's quieter victims, Nia works as a low-paid cleaner at the brothel but remains loyal to Jenny, offering what small friendship she can in a world that bruises both of them. Nia's quick wit, protective nature, and shy strength give Jenny moments of hope and laughter. Her ultimate endangerment by Silas becomes the catalyst for Jenny's transformation and the push toward the story's final showdown.
