Masato Hiki, MD, PhD

1988 Graduated from the Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka City University
1993 Founded Hiki Clinic under the Kōshōkai Medical Corporation
While working as an active clinical physician in dermatology and internal medicine, he also conducts extensive research spanning anti-aging, carbonated beauty, alopecia, and mitochondria. He has secured 30 patents worldwide related to carbonated beauty, hair-growth agents, and respiratory disease treatments, and has personally overseen the development and commercialization of these inventions. Currently, he supervises over 130 products. He is recognized as a foremost authority in carbonated beauty research and is also known as the inventor of the “Carbonated Mask,” the world’s first cosmetic application of carbon dioxide.
In 2025, his peer-reviewed paper proposing the ‘Aging Spiral Hypothesis,’ which forms the theoretical basis of this book, was published in the international medical journal Medical Hypotheses (Elsevier).
