[About the Book]
This book is a collection of daily reflections written by the chief priest of Kainai Shrine in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. Each “word of the day,” originally composed for visitors to the shrine, offers a guiding thought for every date-from January 1 to December 31-accompanying readers through the changing seasons and the turning points of life.

“Do not fear failure.”
“Receive kindness, and return kindness.”
“Never forget to pray and give thanks.”
