(An Alphabetical Subject Index is included, if you wish to use the book as a Devotional. This is the larger 6x9 Presentation Size; not mass market paperback.) Description: She was born in extreme poverty and deprivation, yet she overcame constant adversity to traverse the Globe. (Africa, Asia, Central and South America, Mexico, and Eastern Europe.) Searching diligently to find if there really was a God, and if so, why did He allow such suffering as that in the Third World. Once she obtained a small measure of success, the call to "Give up all that you have and come and follow me," disrupted her life. She returned to the subsistence lifestyle to which she was accustomed, ultimately ending up in homelessness herself. This all after nearly suffering imprisonment for her faith, where she was misunderstood even by those she so deeply loved. (For those involved in the Central American Immigration debate, this book may inform you as to both sides of the story, wherein devoted Americans have been trying to help for many decades. Further, if you like Asian literature, remember the story of "the boiled seed," and making the most of the lot in life that you have been given.)--- If God is JUST, why would He insist that she live as the Prophets of old, resisting materialism and fame, and being denied the simple pleasures we all take for granted? Or maybe this was the plan all along, to create a special Intercessor for the forgotten classes of individuals? If you have suffered Legitimate Injustices in your life, you will appreciate knowing that "She Understands You." Special sections giving advice for Battling Depression, Coping with Sudden Disability, Surviving Domestic Violence, and expanding your Faith and ability to defend what you believe, provide valuable information from, "One who knows." (These Sections are in addition to the main story line, that finds so many of these themes preexisting in the Author's own life.) If you plan on loaning the book to someone, you may wish to read the book first, so that you can better help them by understanding the depth of their burdens. There is a place on the back where you can put a sticker with your name and address, or you can write on the book with a glitter pen. (Paperback only.) There are also some Prayers for the Reader, depending on their particular situation. ( If you require additional prayers, consider "Prayers for Ordinary People," by the same Author. It covers a wide variety of social issues that the world faces today.)
