Luke Phelps is sad about his father's death. His grandfather tries his best to comfort him. But Luke's sadness turns to anger as he catches three men digging up his dad's grave. When the men steal the guitar his father was buried with, an emotional scar is left on Luke. Weeks later a tornado rips through the area, leveling dozens of trees on the farm and exposing a Native American burial mound. When word of the mound gets out, linking it with a well-known story of Chief Weantah, many people want to dig it up. As Luke's relationship with his friend Susannah blossoms, people begin to call about the mound. Worse, some trespass and dig on their own. Luke is very concerned and vows to protect the mound. Will he be able to save the mound and close the wound made when his father's grave was disturbed?
