A mentally challenged toddler - collector of alphabets, vivid colors and unsolicited company - ventures into life's kaleidoscope searching for something wondrous. His goal is located around the corner according to his advocate, Miss. Ma'am, a blind prostitute who advocates for salvation and redemption. The child's preoccupation with creating unusual sandwiches distracts him from the constant abuse Miss. Ma'am endures. Her abuser - a failed jazz maker, pedophile, and general wrongdoer - pursues revenue to appease an unlikely extorter who threatens to expose his misdeeds. The child's lifelong journey to 'around the corner' and the saga of all who surround him are told poetically from his mentally challenged perception with frequent misinterpretations, and often illogical syntax. Though discounted by all, the child's singular skill that earns everyone's tolerance is an extraordinary ability to produce exquisite sandwiches, a talent which earns him the title, The Sandwich Man.
