Nothing Happened is a memoir by Isaac Cronin that primarily deals with the 1960's and 1970's, the "street fighting years," covering terrain from Berkeley to Paris. The book is a first hand account of the counterculture of the time as well as an exploration of the inner workings of the Situationist International in France and the USA. While treating the subject with some humor the book also seeks to redress some accepted truisms and cliches about the time that have calcified into "fact." Nothing Happened is also a critical examination of various writings and pronouncements that were influential at the time, putting that period in perspective.
