NYPD Captain Bill Donovan stands next to the mayor to welcome presidential candidate Pete Bennett to the city, but the next morning he must tell Bennett his campaign manager has been murdered. The victim was decidedly unpopular, and there is a long list of suspects. Donovan must shuffle through them to find a cold killer who is already proving that politics can be murder. Martin's Press.
