Overview
サーフィンが大好きな大学生のひな子は、消防士の青年・港と運命的な恋に落ちた。彼にサーフィンの手ほどきをしながら幸せな日々を過ごすひな子だが、ある時、ひとりで海に行った港が命を落としてしまう。生きる気力を失い、サーフィンもやめて失意に沈むひな子。そんなある時、彼女がふと思い出の歌を口ずさむと、水の中に港の姿が浮かび上がる。やがてひな子は、自分にしか見えない水の中の港との再会に耽溺していく。

Got to watch it in Fantasia 2019! Riding a Wave with You is a touching story on how people live life, drawing some power from visual metaphors along the way. I personally have watched too much anime, that I can no longer pick up new series without readily detecting the writing patterns the last 10 or so years have tired me with. Riding a Wave with You, however, breaks away from all these writing weaknesses, and offers you a fresh new story, devoid of today's mainstream anime drivel. It is a good pick to watch if you can, so I would highly recommend it!
