帝国の圧政によって苦しむとある村の少年剣士・タツミは、村を救う希望とお守りを胸に、幼馴染みと共に帝都へ出稼ぎに出発する。道中、夜盗の襲撃に遭い散り散りになりながらも、たった1人帝都に辿り着いたタツミを待ち受けていたのは、絶句するほどに腐敗しきった帝都の真の姿だった。｢最近、帝都の重役や富裕層の人間を狙う恐るべき殺し屋集団がいる。｣一方でそういった噂を耳にしたタツミは、身をよせた貴族の家で闇夜に潜む彼らの存在に気がつく。殺し屋集団――――――ナイトレイドたちの存在に。

Sad story, some scenes a bit too strong for my taste, protagonist doesn't seem to excel in anything, characters aren't very special respectively I don't think that they evolved much during the season. Didn't like it.
**_Major_** spoiler ahead **_!!!_** The action is good, as well as the abilities specialized by each team member. Not a big fan of the hero dying, but it is what it is. Doom & gloom hardly ever plays well in the States. I guess life is tough enough without entertainment leaving you feeling like "there's just not enough coffee." lol You be the judge.
