The story is that of Roberto, a sixteen year old who sees his relationship with his mother, Alessandra, wear out day after day. The fault of this undoing would lie only with the hated parent. Her mother, separated from her husband who didn't feel ready to be a father, is a mixture of tenacity and kindness that puts the young Roberto under pressure. The boy has no interest in her. Yet the author and director Tiberio Romano focuses on a theme so ancestral and so used that in any case it appears unique and original in this film thanks to its harsh but true poetics at the same time.
