Biography / 経歴 ジョニ・ミッチェル CC は、カナダの歌手、シンガーソングライター。出生名はロバータ・ジョーン・アンダーソン。フォーク、ポップ、ロック、ジャズなどのジャンルにとらわれないジョニの歌は、ロマンス・女性らしさ・幻滅・喜びへの感情だけでなく、時に社会的で哲学的な理想をも投影する。彼女は9つのグラミー賞や1997年のロックンロールの殿堂入りなど、多くの称賛を受けていて、ローリング・ストーン誌はジョニを「史上最高のソングライターの1人」と呼び、オールミュージックは「（嵐が去って）土ぼこりが落ち着いたときに、20世紀後半の最も重要で影響力をもたらした女性のレコーディングアーティストとして、ジョニ・ミッチェルが立っているだろう」と表現した。代表曲に「ビッグ・イエロー・タクシー」「サークル・ゲーム」「ヘルプ・ミー」など多数。
