Overview
植民惑星から地球へ帰還しようとする宇宙移民と、変わり果てた地球に生き残っていたわずかな人類との争いを描く、ローランド・エメリッヒが製作総指揮に参加したＳＦアクション。 居住に適さなくなった地球を逃れ、植民惑星に移住した人類だったが、異星の生活は彼らを深刻な不妊にした。子どもが生まれなくなった彼らは、生殖能力が回復することを期待して地球へ帰還する“ユリシーズ計画”を実行する。だが第1次隊の連絡は途絶え、第2次隊も無事地球に降り立ったのは女性隊員ルイーズと男性隊員タッカーの2人だけ。彼らが見たものは、どこまでも干潟が続く地表で辛うじて生きる地球人の末裔だった。

I have to say, I am terribly disappointed by this movie. I really wanted to like it, but it dragged on and on, not picking up any pace. I really rarely quit a movie before the end, but this time I just had to. There was no way I could make it to the end. It looks good enough to me and there seems to be an interesting story to be told, but for me the pacing was way off, and I could not get invested. I am sorry to say this, but I cannot recommend watching it.
