Juan y la nube

OK, so this is a bit sentimental but it did appeal to me. The young "Juan" is a bit of a lonely child who befriends a cloud that is doing a bit of wandering of it's own. Swiftly they become playfully inseperable until his parents decide they are going to relocate. Try as it might, "La Nube" can't keep up with the aeroplane and so the pair become separated. "Juan" goes on to become a successful industrialist and is soon subsumed in his dreary adult world until one of his factories is built near his childhood home. He returns, scissors at the ready to cut the opening tape, when a drop of rain hits his head. Could it be, after all these years? There are quite a few messages contained within this simple animation as it exposes the effects of loneliness; celebrates the joys of friendship and it also spotlights issues around our attitudes to the environment and industrialisation, too. This is well worth quarter of an hour.
