制御不能な怒りに陥った人々に命を狙われた警官2人組の戦いを描いたデンマーク発のクライムアクション。タリブという若者が嫌疑不十分のまま警察に拘束され、ゲットーでは不満が頂点に達しつつあった。巡回にあたった警官ジェンスとマイクは、反抗的な態度をとった少年を連行する最中に、タリブが死亡したとのニュースを知る。怒りを爆発させたゲットーの住人たちに囲まれた彼らは、迷路のような建物の中へ逃げ込む。銃弾と罵声が飛び交い、動画撮影によって行動が筒抜けになるという圧倒的に不利な状況の中、出口を求めて奔走する彼らだったが……。ヒューマントラストシネマ渋谷＆シネ・リーブル梅田で開催の「未体験ゾーンの映画たち2021」上映作品。

This is an enjoyable, well-made thriller, even if it treads familiar ground. Two police officers — one principled, one far more questionable — find themselves trapped in a neighbourhood erupting into chaos after a death in police custody sparks violent unrest driven by racial tensions. As they fight to survive and make it to safety, the pressure steadily mounts, not only from the rioting streets around them but from the growing mistrust between the two men themselves. The escalating tension is easily the film’s biggest strength. While the setup isn’t particularly original, the film still manages to surprise. I genuinely didn’t see the ending coming, and it left a strong impression. This Danish thriller is well worth your time if you enjoy gritty, pressure-cooker films like Training Day (2001) or Athena (2022).
