When the fading legend that was "Dominique" holds auditions at his renowned "Déjà Vu" school, he finds nobody manages to master the intricacies of Saint-Saëns "Danse macabre" well enough and so wanders home a dejected man. En route, though, he hears the sounds of a guitar playing a flamenco tune and is drawn to it. Observing from the street, he sees the raven-haired "Sofia" dressed in a bright red dress dancing effortlesly. When she sees him, though, she closes the window. Can he persuade her to take to the stage, and why is she using an array of hoops overhead to augment her rhythmic routine? Aside from telling us clearly never to judge a book by it's cover, this is a colourful and vibrant animation that whistles along for seven minutes reminding us of just how yesterday's popularity can become tomorrow's memories and it does that quite poignantly too. Worth a watch.
