不気味な森を舞台に、闇の世界に生きる少女と盲目の少年のはかない運命を描き、世界各地のファンタスティック映画祭で評判を呼んだダークファンタジーホラー。母と2人で暮らす少女ミーナは、母が連れ込んだ男に襲われて半死の状態にまで殴られ、森の中に捨てられてしまう。しかし死んだと思われた彼女は姿を変えて生き延びており、人間の肉を食べるようになっていた。ミーナが隠れ住む森に足を踏み入れた者は帰ることはなく、その地はいつしか「デビルズ・デン（悪魔の巣）」と呼ばれるように。そんなある日、森に凶悪な指名手配犯が逃げ込んでくる。犯人の男はミーナの餌食となるが、男は人質として盲目の少年を連れており……。

This is definitely an interesting movie that plays with drama, empathy, and horror. The story plays out well as it makes the backstory of Mina, the undead girl, the main thread that goes through what happens in the present with the boy she encounter, named Alex. There are some decent effects in this movie and the setting definitely give you that feeling of darkness between both characters. It doesn't get slow paced all that much or even losing of interest. It will give you that sense of something supernatural is linked to Mina and her struggle to get her humanity back that she might have to give up. It definitely give you the tones of abuse and loss of one's humanity. Even though it plays more to the empathy and drama than it does the horror, that shouldn't stop you from watching this movie if you have watched such movies that looks into the making of a person turned into a "monster" or urban legend.
