Overview
アフガニスタンで兄を亡くしたジェイコブ・シンガーは、美しい妻と子供に恵まれ、退役軍人（VA）病院では外科医として成功し、悲しみから生活を取り戻しつつあった。しかしある日、見知らぬ男が彼に近づき、兄が生きていて地下シェルターで他の退役軍人たちと一緒に住んでいると告げる。そこからジェイコブの人生はもつれ始める… 彼は幻覚を見るようになり、誰かに付け狙われていると信じ込み、兄に起きていた事実に関しても妄想を抱くようになる。兄が生きていることを突き止め、試験薬で中毒になっていることを知ったジェイコブに、予想もしなかった秘密が明らかになる――

So they remade Jacob's Ladder only they race swapped it so the character can't be as compelling and instead has to be a series of checked boxes that best personifies how the left views people of color... ... man don't you miss the times where Black people could play unique and diverse characters? I do. I want to see people like Denzel Washington in roles like Training Day again... ... anyway, the check boxes made the lead fall flat and made you not care so much about him in the story. And then it wasn't as trippy as the first one, it didn't have the same LSD trip feel to it. It's just a copy that isn't exactly as good, printed in reverse so the people on Twitter who won't actually watch it will praise it.
