Overview
2009年。地方にあるブレスト地域大学病院の女性医師イレーネは、自身の患者が原因不明の心臓弁膜症を発症して亡くなったことに疑問を抱き、患者が服用していたセルヴィエ社の薬“メディアトール”について調べると、これを服用して死んだ患者が他にも大勢いると気付く。イレーネはフランス医薬品安全庁に“メディアトール”の販売禁止を訴えでるが、セルヴィエ社や官庁から周囲に圧力が掛かって立場が危うくなっていく。
