Overview
1984年にペンシルベニア州アレンタウンで実際に起こった、浮気性の夫を殺そうとした妻の殺人未遂事件を基にしたコメディ。街で評判のピザ屋を営む陽気なイタリア人・ジョーイは、働き者で子供をこよなく愛する模範亭主。しかし裏では、妻・ロザリーの目を盗んで情事を重ねる浮気の常習犯だった。ある日、ロザリーはついにジョーイの浮気現場を目撃し、夫を殺す計画を立てるが…。

"I Love You to Death" has an almost complete absence of humor which is most regrettable. However, it does have its fair share of twists - the police arriving on the scene almost immediately and everyone being arrested straight away - and this is unquestionably an interesting film, but sadly it is more fascinating than it is entertaining and that is truly a shame because the unfortunate reality is that all the necessary ingredients to make what could have been a first rate comedy are here and it does leave you wondering what someone capable of vividly bringing these characters and the full potential of this absolutely bizarre situation more fully to life would be able to achieve.
