I really liked the almost blurred yet detailed nature of the sketch work here, and there were also a few shades of “The Lavender Hill Mob” from 1951 to it, too. An elderly lady arrives back to her third floor apartment with the last funnel for her model of the “Titanic” and so after fitting it, she rewards herself with a relaxing bath. What she doesn’t realise is, that drops of water are seeping through her floor and down into the flat below. That is where a gentleman is preparing a refreshing fish tea for his guests - a trio of musicians. Rather bravely leaving the tantalising fish to the tender mercies of his cat, he admits his friends and they settle down to play - sounds that travel upstairs and make her bath all the more comfortable. Thing is: drip, drip, drip risks becoming crash bang wallop, so he gets his tool box and heads upstairs. Will he get there in time? There’s no dialogue, nor text - just a dripping sound that could be akin to an ominously ticking clock. We know what is bound to happen, but neither of these two seem especially bothered. A skilfully crafted ten minutes, this.
