1963年11月22日、ダラスを訪問し、市内を車でパレードしていたJ・F・ケネディ大統領が、何者かに狙撃されるという衝撃的事件が発生。瀕死の大統領はパークランド病院に緊急搬送されるが、当直勤務の医師たちによる必死の救命措置もむなしく息を引き取る。やがて大統領暗殺の容疑者としてリー・ハーヴェイ・オズワルドが逮捕されるが、彼もまた銃撃を受けて、くしくも同じパークランド病院に担ぎ込まれることになる。

I can see why people don't like this. It is the singular most depressing movie I've ever seen. It's not like JFK where it pushes a theory. It just focuses on the death of the president and it's done in such a way that's designed to bring you to tears again and again. I'm probably never going to watch this again, it's a little too much for me. But, if you are looking for a film that is going to invoke a visceral emotional response in the audience, than Parkland is the movie for you.
